Check out this video by Takashi Murakami called Akihabara Majokko Princess. It was made as part of the Pop Life: Art in a Material World exhibition last year at the Tate Modern.
It features the adorable Kirsten Dunst performing Turning Japanese by The Vapors. I used to love Kirsten Dunst (Virgin Suicides much?) but after this I'm pretty much obsessed.
She's even cuter in these stills...

The stills are great! Oh to be able to dress like this every day!!
I know, awesome right? My favourites are the belt/bag combo, turquoise hair and gingham knee highs. Perfection! xx
Aww she looks so sweet!
Love Japanese cult fashion, got this book by Shoichi Aoki called Fruits, it's a collection of pictures of random people in the streets of Tokio, they are so creative! Could sit and look at them all day!
I love the song, I love Kirsten, I love the blue hair, I LOVE the pink sparkly shoes... Actually, there's not really anything I don't love about this!!!
Wonderful as ever Miss Maclaren! You're the happy distraction to my studying!
love love, Heather
@Cristiana book sounds amazing! My fav look is normally gothic lolita but I like all kinds of Harajuku - escapism at its best! There's loads of great blogs out there for inspiration.
@Heather glad to help the procrastination process! Now I just need to get off blogger and into some Goverment books. HOLDMEBACK.COM xx
