OH MA GAHD, NEED!

It's been quite a while since something from Urban Outfitters has made me literally STOP IN MY FACEBOOK-CREEPING TRACKS and squeal the above phrase... Congrats Evil Twin outer limits skater dress, I'm officially lusting after you BAD STYLE!

Oh Hi, Mila Kunis?

Looks to me like it's velvet - double win - but it helpfully doesn't say on the site so I can't be sure. Seriously though, how amazing is this? I thought my love of galaxy print had waned slightly these past few months, but it was obviously just lying dormant. NEED. THIS. DRESS.

At £88 it's a bit of a splurge (Skintville, population: me) but if I don't get it I have a feeling I'll spiral into a pit of regret and depression and NO-ONE WANTS THAT, RIGHT? Right. It's getting bought.

Lots of love, your friendly neighbourhood enabler...

BITCHING & JUNKFOOD: NEW ARRIVALS

Because I only have five minutes until hometime, let's forget the flowery intro and skip to some of my favourite looks from Bitching & Junkfood's latest high summer arrivals...

Pretty fierce.

Now where did I put my black lipstick again?

VINTAGE SUMMER LUST

Isn't this the most perfect wee vintage 90s dress ever? Tie-dye and hand-printed gold moons, stars and dolphins galore - LOVE!

I guess this probably isn't everyone's cup of tea but if I was going to any festivals this year (which I'm not, sob!) I'd pair this with jelly shoes (or wellies more likely), a top knot, a backpack and some big round sunnies...

LUST LIST: TEAL KNITS, BROWN LEATHER AND WINTER KATE

Jeeze, check me being all LAX on the blogging front - totes off my game guys! Been pretty busy with Halloween weekend, working and some other manic family dramz... Plus, if I'm totally honest my fashion mojo has been sagging all paunchy and middle-aged-like recently. I seem to have lost the ability to get dressed in the morning, and instead I just stand staring at my wardrobe mumbling mournfully and talking to myself like a loon - "No, that definitely needs an iron. No, that's totally way too summery..." etc.

Like, today, I'm dressed as some kind of freaky librarian and I actually left the house with MIS-MATCHED SHOES ON, I kid you not. They are scarily similar, both from Urban Outfitters and both black, but still... GET A GRIP WUMMIN.

It's weird because after last week's ITCOW (what a show! Fair Feathered Friend was the standout collection for me - stunning!) I was all hyped up fashion-wise, but I'm definitely riding some sort of cruel comedown now :(

What I need is INSPIRATION. And gladly I've found some in teal knitwear, brown leather and Winter Kate! HURRAH AND HALLELUJAH!

Yes, it's just a vintage jumper from Etsy, yes it was only £12 but check out that COLOUR! Oh, jeeze, the colour is totally keeping me going man. The only thing on my list I've actually bought, I can't wait to wear this with my brown shearling Docs, gold Michael Kors watch and a top-knot. I just can't wait. Perfect, oversized-teal jumper, where have you been all my life?!

I first saw the black version of this All Saints Rally Jacket on Rumi Neely from Fashion Toast like a bazillion months ago and mentally checklisted it as one to lust over, but since I've been online and had a look I think I definitely prefer the brown version, what do you reckon? Black is always my go-to colour for leather, but I'm starting to think a sturdy, brown leather jacket is a wardrobe staple, don't you? Would go perfectly with my cream scarf and bobble hat from Toppers, and of course, that teal jumper... J'adore!

Cream Winter Kate by Nicole Ritchie tunic dress.
60s-tastic and perfectly party-season appropriate, I'd wear this with black opaques, dishevelled updo, bare lips, tonnes of eyeliner and chunky black heels. Be MIIIINE!

Winter Kate by Nicole Ritchie silk and velvet open jacket.
I don't even know if I have the words to describe how much I love this. It makes my heart hurt.

Winter Kate by Nicole Ritchie cropped silk and velvet jacket.
Ditto this little cropped number, with added Paisley print for an extra million cool points.

Winter Kate by Nicole Ritchie gold sequin backless dress.
Sadly I don't have any Christmas parties lined up yet that would warrant me spending a few hundred quid on this (even though all the Winter Kate range is available on The Outnet, it's still a bit pricey) but as soon as I get something locked down this is going in my basket. Like YESTERDAY!

So yeah, drooling over these lovelies is helping to gradually pull me from my almighty fashion funk, but I don't quite feel all the way there yet. Any tips/inspiration blogs I could be having a gander at? Cheers for sticking with me bloggies!

WHISTLES AW11

So, if I could have this jumper from Whistles I'm pretty sure it would make me happier than just about anything else right now...

AND if I woke up looking exactly like this smokin' model, that wouldn't be the worst thing to happen either. Sort it out, Karma.

5 OF THE BEST: TOPSHOP

Been spending so much time lusting after Venice-appropriate vintage treasures that I've sorely neglected the "new in" feature on Topshop.

I've well and truly learned my lesson! Check out what I've been missing...

Behold my new winter coat. The big furry bit is adorable but detachable, and mainly I love it for the cocoon shape and tobacco colour. SWOON. Be mine NOW!

I didn't love this bag at first but the more I consider it the more it grows on me. Leather, pleated straps, fringe, gratuitous fake gold chain... tackily wonderful, I'm sold!

Love it, love it, love it! My inner freak is screaming "WEAR ORANGE LIPPY AND BIG EARRINGS WITH THIS" which would clash and look mental, but that's exactly why I'm loving it. So versatile...
Oh hey McQueen knock offs. Practically perfect in every way. I have hunners of chunky wedges and boots and stuff, but I think it's about time I really get into stilettos. Ladylike innit.
I've been looking for a bright cropped knit for AGES and this is just glorious and would go immensely well with my new H&M pleather flippy skirt, right?

Ooooh winter, I am feeling you again. Roll on!

DEVON AOKI (LUST)

Wowzers, can you spell B-U-S-Y! So many things have been going on in the last week or so! Managed to get my Masters portfolio done and handed in after a couple of major last minute changes (STRESS!) and also lined myself up some SAWEET job interviews!

One is located down near Southampton, and the other is for a magazine based in Glasgow. Positive thoughts for me bloggies! Good karma coming your way and all that... I'm really desperate to get my teeth into something new and the one down south in particular ticks ALL the boxes so keep 'em crossed!

Since my last yin, I've had loads of cool blogposts lined up but not had a spare minute to bash them out. This one's a bit of a cop-out but I hope y'all will appreciate the STUNNING images :)

Last week model and actress Devon Aoki (her from Sin City and Really Fast and Extremely Angry) turned 29. I took this as an opportunity to drool over some amazing photos of her. Slightly creepy? Maybe. Enjoy anyway:

Photos pinched from Google and Tumblr.

ALSO Blogger still being weird and fussy about letting me comment back, so appologies if I haven't been keeping up to date with commenting lately. I'm still there stalking! And HEY to my new followers. Love yeez.

I NEED RED LEATHER SHORTS

In my life NOW!

Seriously. No, SERIOUSLY. I can hear your grimace from here (red leather? WTF? Alright Chantelle away back to yer street corner), but hear me out...

Ever since the lovely Whistles PR ladies tweeted this pic of a pair of sumptuous red leather shorts a few days ago, I've been LITERALLY dreaming about owning them, or something equally as fabulous:

I can't find them online and shockingly I've had real bother finding any red leather shorts at all! Even over at my go-to place for cool quirky vintage clothing, Etsy, there was a distinct lack.

If anyone sees any on a vintage site or in a shop in Glasgow PLEASE let me know! You can comment here or tweet me and I'll fire you over some awesome karma!

Here's a few inspiration shots pillaged from Google to whet your appetite...

Swoon!!
