TILDA SWINTON FOR CHANEL: PARIS-EDIMBOURG

There's literally no-one else better suited to front the Chanel Métiers d'Art campaign than the marvellous Tilda Swinton, right?

This is the campaign for Chanel's pre-fall 13 collection (Métiers d'Art) which showcased last December at Linlithgow Palace - mind it now? Yeah, the Scotland-themed mental collection of over-the-top awesomeness. That one.

Tilda's a babe. Can't get enough of this.

Swoon.

SAINT LAURENT MUSIC PROJECT

HOT DAMN. Marilyn Manson for YSL? YES.

These images, shot by Hedi Slimane, show rock Gods Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon and Ariel Pink dressed in iconic YSL threadz for what's being dubbed the AW13 Music Project  - "A portrait series drawing on the relationship between rock icons and the house since its earliest days, the killer move being the artists style themselves in its seasonal and permanent collections to create an image of their own expression."

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes x1000

It's a little unclear to me (and to Elle apparently) whether or not these are the officical images of the AW13 campaign or a stand-alone project. My instinct says the latter (since the models have styled themselves in a variety of pieces including Kim in an iconic le smoking and since Slimane himself calls it a "portrait series")  but regardless, let's just revel in the amazingness of that Marilyn Manson shot.

"I'm not an artist, I'm a fucking work of art." MM

JENNIFER LAWRENCE FOR MISS DIOR BAGS

I'd sort of fallen out of love with Jennifer Lawrence recently. I couldn't really put my finger on it, but her hilariousness in interviews began to grate on me a bit and she seemed to be coming across like more and more of a fud.

That was until I saw the images of her for the new Miss Dior bag line...

SCHWING. Back on the JLaw bandwagon in a hefty way.

ALEXANDER WANG SPRING 2013 CAMPAIGN

Last week (so up to date as usual!) the images for the Alexander Wang SS13 campaign were released, shot by Steven Klein and showing model Malgosia Bela looking pretty masculine and stripped back.

The campaign has a weird, insudtrial Ancient Greece sort of feel, and it's divided some of the fashion press... Personally I like it, but then I'm a massively biased, die-hard Wang fan and he'd have to do something REALLY awful to disappoint me.

I can see the thinking behind the toughness of the shots and poses, as the dresses, cuffs and sandals are typically masculine, industrial and contemporary (and there's definitely something toga-ish about those dresses). Plus,Wang's gone for a kind of "disjointed" feel by pulling apart and making a feature of all the seams which is SUPER COOL, but remember Rihanna on Xfactor in the white SS13 Wang dress? I love that it showed you can ALWAYS style Wang in a wearable way.

Morally bankrupt but SMOKIN' hot!

I just love Alexander Wang... Can you tell? Even more excited for his debut at Balenciaga now, if that's even possible!

WHISTLES SUMMER 12 LOOKBOOK

Totally classy, totally gorgeous.

I think there's still a High Summer campaign to come out, but for the time being this SS12 lookbook from Whistles is ticking all the right boxes for me. Whaddya reckon?

Serious brow/red lip envy going on in that last shot. Swoon!

FIRST AND FOREVER

I'll confess, I wasn't massively aware of Dr Marten's newest campaign, First and Forever, featuring androgynous goddess Aggy Dean and everyone's favourite indie-boy model Ash Stymest as a canoodling couple straight outta This is England. But I am NOW!

They pose in shots that are simoultaneously raw, hard and masculine - everything DMs are known for - and also tender, romantic and beautiful:

Need these loafers...

Love em!

Along with these stunning shots, Aggy also features in a 2 min film shot by director duo Nick & Fred. I watched this for the first time really late at night in a weird mood and it had me welling up big time. It's short, but intense. Love it.

The song playing in the background, the stream-of-consciousness style narration... everything about this is perfect.

This campaign works perfectly for a brand which obviously holds so much nostalgia for it's loyal fans. Users on the site are encouraged to plot on the virtual map their "firsts," with loads already plotting the location of their first puchase of DMs...

My first pair of DMs were black, leather AirWear lace-up shoes which I wore to school for a bit when I was about 13 (still the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned ), but eventually stopped because back then they were considered massively uncool. Such a slave to peer pressure! If only I'd kept them, they were truly immense.

My brown shearling-lined DM boots are still the best, most durable boots for the winter EVER. Come November they won't be off my feet!

RAWRR! GIVENCHY AW11

I recently became aware of a STUNNING shot of the ever-amazing Kristen McMenamy for Givenchy's AW11 ad campaign via V magazine's facebook, and just had to investigate further.

SO glad I did. Check this out...

Although I was initially drawn to the images thanks to Kristen's photo, I actually think it's Natalia Vodianova who really shines here, both in the video and in her shot. I'm not always a fan of hers to be honest, but I really love this sexy, tough image on her. The up-lighting effect totally works here - props to photographers Mert and Marcus for a captivating campaign!

What do you guys think?

KIRSTEN DUNST: MON JASMIN NOIR

Another quickie effort as I'm still in the burgh with limited internet access (although I seem to have been tweeting feverishly over the last few days - gotta calm it down!) however I couldn't NOT share with you guys these beautiful shots of Kirsten Dust for Bulgari's new fragrance Mon Jasmin Noir:

I know this isn't BREAKING NEWS as the images have been floating around since the end of April I think, but oh I do love me a gorgeous Bulgari campaign! Remember Julianne Moore last year? I blogged about it, duh! This is on a par with that. Maybe ever so slightly better.

The campaign is inspired by Bulgari’s Mediterranean Eden theme: an imaginary place where history, fantasy, and dreams combine. A paradise immersed in warm amber light that transforms a classical 16th century Italian-style garden into an almost-imaginary setting full of enchantment and seduction.

Quite.

I absolutely adore Kirsten Dunst. I think she's a fantastic and underrated actress - The Virgin Suicides, Crazy/Beautiful, Drop Dead Gorgeous anyone? Plus she seems like a really sound person too. She's relatable and down to earth, and somehow I always find myself rooting for her.

As an actress known mainly for her understated, laid-back style, I love that Bulgari have pulled her out her comfort zone by placing her in this opulent, glamorous campaign and she looks like she was made for it. Totally smokin' hot.

What do you guys think of the campaign?
