LIBERTY LONDON FOR DR MARTENS

On May 1st Doc Martens will release this capsule collection of boots, shoes and satchels featuring super-cute classic Liberty London floral prints, perfect for spring & summer.

Y'all know how much I love a classic pair of Docs, and while I like the boots in the collection, I'm REALLY feeling the shoes in particular this time round. Picture them with wee frilly ankle socks, leggings and an over-sized acid-wash denim jacket. I'm already lusting BAD STYLE for the top right pair, what do you think?

I'm not normally one for satchels but I am CRAZY IN LOVE with the first and third ones here. Regardless of what I think, the collection will no-doubt be a sell out next month. Are you guys into it? Let me know your thoughts!

FIRST AND FOREVER

I'll confess, I wasn't massively aware of Dr Marten's newest campaign, First and Forever, featuring androgynous goddess Aggy Dean and everyone's favourite indie-boy model Ash Stymest as a canoodling couple straight outta This is England. But I am NOW!

They pose in shots that are simoultaneously raw, hard and masculine - everything DMs are known for - and also tender, romantic and beautiful:

Need these loafers...

Love em!

Along with these stunning shots, Aggy also features in a 2 min film shot by director duo Nick & Fred. I watched this for the first time really late at night in a weird mood and it had me welling up big time. It's short, but intense. Love it.

The song playing in the background, the stream-of-consciousness style narration... everything about this is perfect.

This campaign works perfectly for a brand which obviously holds so much nostalgia for it's loyal fans. Users on the site are encouraged to plot on the virtual map their "firsts," with loads already plotting the location of their first puchase of DMs...

My first pair of DMs were black, leather AirWear lace-up shoes which I wore to school for a bit when I was about 13 (still the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned ), but eventually stopped because back then they were considered massively uncool. Such a slave to peer pressure! If only I'd kept them, they were truly immense.

My brown shearling-lined DM boots are still the best, most durable boots for the winter EVER. Come November they won't be off my feet!

RAINBOW INSPIRATION

Pretty much a visual representation of my mood today:

Ah, that was nice, eh? Refreshing to see just some pics without me nattering on and on and on...

Sometimes I think I harp on a bit too much and it maybe puts folk off? I dunno...

I have a wee formspring thing over on the sidebar there near the top <--- so if you guys want less writing more pics, a wider variety of posts (what's happening in my life, not just abstract fashion) or WHATEVER, I'd be really interested in hearing your thoughts.

Post me a wee comment, it's anonymous, and it would really help me switch up FFS, as I'm aware that at the moment the posts are all a bit of a random bag - mad as a box of frogs you might say....

YOUVE DONE TOO MUCH, MUCH TOO YOUNG

The skinhead look is one I always admire in others if it's pulled off properly, but it's not one I've ever felt totally comfortable attempting myself... HOWEVER I absolutely ADORE Lol's man-cut wool coat and Docs combo, and after buying that oversized coat from Topshop, I made my first ever purchase of a pair of Doc Martens:

Fur lined as well. Awesome.
